Alliyah Moore is a 5th year sociology PhD student at Howard University whose work lives at the intersections of Black feminist thought, digital culture, and Black spatiality. As a scholar shaped by the intellectual traditions of HBCUs, she is deeply committed to research that centers Black knowledge production, community care, and collective liberation. Her work examines how Black women use digital spaces as extensions of homeplace, sites for world-building, community formation, resource gathering, resistance, and futurity. Through Black digital feminist frameworks and ethnographic approaches, her work explores how these practices reimaginespace and possibilitywithinthe boundaries of the physical and virtual. When she is not researching, writing, or teaching, Alliyah can be found hiking in a national park, searching for the next breathtaking view.
